Did you know there are more than 500 species of oak trees around the world? Or that one of the oldest known oak organisms is estimated to be thousands of years old? Oaks are remarkable keystone species, supporting thousands of other species while providing essential ecosystem services across the globe.

Join us for a closer look at what makes oaks so unique, from their ecological importance to the many ways they shape the environments around them. We’ll travel around the world to explore the stories of some extraordinary oaks, including the Jurupa Oak, Seven Sisters Oak, and a special champion oak right here in Wisconsin.

Come discover why oaks are so much more than just another tree, and why their future matters to us all.
