In spring 2026, Maggie and Bob Honig joined a group of Wisconsin travelers on an adventure into the wilds of southern Costa Rica. Traveling off the beaten path, they explored two remarkable destinations: Las Cruces Biological Station near the Panama border and the Piro Biological Station/Osa Conservation Campus on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biologically rich regions in the world.
Join us as Maggie and Bob share their experiences exploring this incredible diversity, from nearly 300 species of birds to monkeys, plants, insects, and other fascinating wildlife. They’ll also highlight the important conservation efforts taking place at these unique locations and share what makes southern Costa Rica such an extraordinary destination for nature lovers.
