Trail Walk: Sunny Peace Prairie

August 19th | 10AM-11AM

This walk is in collaboration with the ADRC of Rock County! Just north of town, this 75-acre property was saved from becoming a mining site thanks to the vision and generosity of a local family. Today, visitors can explore scenic trails and relax on Leopold benches while taking in restored prairies, woodlands, and abundant wildlife, including Wisconsin’s third-largest shagbark hickory tree. At nearly 1,000 feet above sea level, the property’s highest point offers breathtaking panoramic views.
