(August 20, 2020) Much has been going on at the former Decatur Lake Golf Course and old clubhouse on Golf Course Road in Brodhead since the Southern Wisconsin Land Conservancy has taken ownership. It is now the Three Waters Reserve, a conservation and regenerative nature and event center.
To date, all renovation and remodeling are nearing completion inside the building on both levels. The lower level will house the Lower Sugar River Watershed Field Station. The upper level will become the Three Waters Reserve Event Center and will host both public and private events which can be catered from the remodeled kitchen equipped with many new appliances. The main dining room is being completely renovated to contain a new gorgeous bar, new flooring, wall and window treatments, new lighting, and updated ADA compliant bathrooms.
New signage has recently been erected on County Highway E, pointing the way to The Reserve. Work on the outside of the building will begin shortly which includes the extension of the wrap-around deck. When all is completed this facility will be available to host public and private events such as weddings, reunions, parties, business meetings, small conferences, and more, all catered if you choose.
We are busy working on developing policies, procedures, and rental agreements for facility usage. We, at Southern WI Land Conservancy, have been working hard to bring this project to fruition for usage by Brodhead and the surrounding area.
