Birding at Three Waters Reserve

Three Waters Reserve and the surrounding forested riverine corridor and bluff lands of the Sugar River provide exceptional birding opportunities.  Avon Bottoms, nearly 7,000 acres of public and private conservation lands downstream, is recognized as an Important Bird Area for both forest and grassland birds with marked public access.

We welcome birders of all skill levels to explore the mature oak woodland and savanna, and newly restored prairie and riparian wetland habitats of the Reserve.  Share your bird and other wildlife sightings on our Contact Us page so that we can add your observations to our TWR site list and consider using the eBird App to share your bird observations with the world!
